Tasha first encountered Helen’s Daughters while working in gender equality in the Eastern Caribbean in 2017 and has volunteered with HD ever since. She is a curious entrepreneur, attuned to social enterprise and keen on business models successful not just on a commercial level but also designed to enhance the wellbeing of individuals, communities, and the environment. She’s a systems thinker and tenacious problem-solver with academic training in comparative politics and experience in value-added agriculture, co-operatives, international development, and education. She is the Founder, CEO, and Ladyboss of 7 Leagues Leather, a circular economy fish leather tannery and fish leather boots social enterprise start-up in Vancouver, Canada.

Helen's Daughters (HD) is a non-profit organization that focuses on the economic development of rural women through improved market access, adaptive agricultural techniques, and capacity-building.
